"Henry" Shirt + Heritage Linen
The Form is a classic button-down with a band collar featuring hand-carved coconut buttons.
The Fiber is Heritage Linen. Like all of our Heritage Fabrics, the cloth used to make this garment is made entirely by hand. This 100% linen fabric is patiently and meditatively woven together, thread by thread, on a wooden loom in Nepal.
Linen has a highly porous, cooling weave characterized by a slightly rough texture that softens from use. In an age of the wrinkle-free, no-iron, and the highly pressed, the beauty of linen is seen in its ability to corrugate, a mark of old school elegance. - Bruce Boyer
The end result is stitched together by artisan tailors employed by an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.
The “Henry” Shirt is also available in our Heritage Silk and our Heritage Silk/Cotton Blend.
Handmade in Nepal.
