Chore Coat + Light Tweed (stock 2)
This garment has already been made and is looking for a good home! It was a sample piece made with two minor flaws: the lapel is too wide and shoulder pads were included.
It is approximately a Standard Size Medium / 40. The garment’s exact measurements are: Shoulder: 18 inches, Chest: 40 inches, Sleeve Length: 25 inches, Back Length: 28 inches
The Form is our take on a classic Chore Coat with four front patch pockets, three interior pockets, a narrow lapel and no shoulder pads. This coat was designed to be functional while walking the line between formal and relaxed, making it particularly great for work and travel. It comes together with hand-carved horn buttons.
The Fiber is Light Tweed, one of our Heritage Wools. Like all of our Heritage Fabrics, the cloth used to make this garment is made entirely by hand: first woven together on a wooden loom, then hand-felted to bind the yarns. This process produces a fabric that is as sturdy and beautiful as it is hard to find.
The end result is stitched together by artisan tailors employed in an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.
Handmade in Nepal.
